My Smart Board

There are four different activities that the teacher and students can use in this notebook.
First there is a cover up screen where the teacher can go step by step through the linear equations formulas with an example to solve an equation in standard form. Second there are two blocks covering up the two different ways to solve system of linear equations. The one side has an example of elimination and the other side has an example of substitution. The third slide includes a matching game where student volunteers can come to the board and match the equation with what type of equation it is. The final page just includes a graph that the teacher or students can play around with and change the coefficients to see how the graph changes when the coefficients change.

Smart Exchange

Linear Equations This link includes a Lesson plan through SMART Exchange that deals with linear equations, finding out their slopes, finding their intercepts and graphing the equation.

Quadratic Matching This is a great site to compare two different quadratic equations. They have the two equations in vortexes and they have different information in each box and the students must drag the box on top of the correct vortex.

Tutorials

Teacher Tube This is a great website that gives a bunch of different tutorials for teachers to watch and learn how the Smart Board operates.
